Why are we A-CHAMP for children?

Because one in six children now suffer from neurodevelopmental disorders according to statistics published by the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) and the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) in February 2004.  A growing body of scientific studies have indicated that exposure to neurotoxins, such as mercury in vaccines (Thimerosal) may have contributed to the rapid rise in disorders such as AD/HD, Asperger's, PDD NOS, Autism and Acrodynia.
 

Did you know...

•  Mercury is a known neurotoxin that is harmful to humans, especially pregnant women, infants and children.
   

•  A growing number of experts including physicians, dentists and scientists believe there is no safe amount of mercury for the human body.
   

•  The Federal Government continues to downplay the risks of mercury in vaccines, prescription drugs, over-the-counter preparations and dental amalgams despite the growing body of scientific evidence confirming its harm.
   

• In December 2004, the Institute of NeuroToxicology and Neurological Disorders stated:

   “Childhood disabilities from chemical exposure during development are often not treatable and therefore must be prevented.” 
   

•  It is time for a grassroots effort to force positive political action in each State Legislature and in Congress to ban the use of this known neurotoxin in medicine, especially in vaccines and biologics and address the needs of the children and families harmed by mercury and other vaccine components.
